It's so interesting. There is no question that the book trilogy is a smash! Now I must say that I find it amazing how excited people have become about the movie and who will play which character. I was reading an article online that talked about a recent poll with 50 fans, and almost a month after you posted this, it seems that Matt Bomer is still at the top of many lists. I could see Ellen Page (from Juno) as Ana because she could play a witty, smart girl.  Leighton Meester is very sexy and I think she would be good, too.  Just please, not Anne Hathaway!!!!

I was out to lunch with some friends yesterday and one insisted it should be Nelly Furtado and Ryan Gosling... but only Ryan Gosling with his best abs (shown in Crazy Stupid Love, where Emma Stone accuses him of being "photoshopped").

I don't see her in it either, plus heard she is out of the running. I must say, I don't personally care who is in the role, I am just excited that this book series has made it ok for so many people to discuss these "taboo" topics! I know others who feel very strongly about the casting...but for me, I am happy to see so many people who are listening, reading, and involved in the conversation.

what is this movie going to be rated? I personally think it should be left as a book series and not turned into a mainstream movie. Even if it was rated R you would not be able to visually capture the heat from the books. On this one I would say leave it be.
